Along the way he’s won The X Factor, released a debut single that charted all over the world, notched up over 120 million international streams, supported the incredible Jessica Mauboy on her Australian tour and represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, finishing in the top 10, viewed by over 250 Million People. All that at just 17 years of age.

2012 marked the 30th anniversary of the release of the iconic song Solid Rock, the landmark song from the album, Spirit of Place.

22 year old Alice Skye is a singer-songwriter, Wergaia woman and universal little sister.

Her songs sparkle with a sensitivity and maturity well beyond her years, accompanied by the gentle and hauntingly sparse melodies of a piano score. Alice’s voice is a combination of hopeful and haunting, naturally sweet and slow and dreamlike. Her stripped back piano melodies elevate the gentle moodiness of her songwriting, transforming her once bedroom scribblings into well-crafted and articulated lyrics on love, loss and life.

From the remote community of Ivanhoe in Western NSW, proud Ngiyampaa man Dane Kennedy has performed along side acts including Christine Anu, Coloured Stone, Bonja, Sarah Mcleod, Dean Lewis and Jeff Martin, and co-written with the likes of Kevin Bennet, Mike Carr and Fanny Lumsden.

Dane is based in Wagga Wagga NSW and has travelled to the USA to record his first original track titled “In My Mind” at House of Blues in Nashville, which was written after the loss of his brother. It expresses his struggle to come to terms with this tragic event.

Homegrown talent Ernest Mitchell III, is one of eight Ernest Mitchells in his immediate family. A Barkanji man, Ernest came to music at a very early age when he was gifted a guitar. Throughout his life, music has been his constant and it was a dream that brought to life the iconic song ‘Mungo Man and Mungo Lady’. Such is the power of this song in its tune and relevance, that it will form the finale of the concert with a version that will include all musicians and a choir.

Shane Howard is a prolific Australian songwriter, admired and respected for his integrity and commitment to music.

For 40 years Shane Howard’s songs have mapped an Australian landscape. From the dry desert landscape where he penned his anthemic ‘Solid Rock’ to the Wild Rivers of Tasmania ‘Let the Franklin Flow’ he’s created a uniquely Australian voice and traversed a vast landscape in his travels.

His songs champion the cause of the common man, the environment and the injustices endured by Australia’s Aboriginal people.

After 30 years of singing, writing and journeying the globe, from campfires to concert halls, he has consolidated his voice to become an important addition to the evolving folklore of modern song.
